Research Summary: My research focuses on the sources, transformation and fate of reactive nitrogen compounds in the tropospheric boundary layer. Reactive nitrogen pollution harms both human and ecosystem health, by contributing to photochemical smog, fine particulate matter, ecosystem acidification, and eutrophication. By better understanding the sources of reactive nitrogen, and how it interacts with other atmosphric components, we can better predict how it might impact the health of humans and the environment.
