Bring climate change into any classroom in any field.
Climate Across the Curriculum (CATC) is a training program that helps educators bring climate change into their teaching, whatever the subject. Whether you teach math, literature, or the arts, CATC equips instructors with tools, strategies, and content to integrate climate science and dialogue into existing coursework and disciplinary expertise.
About the program
Climate Across the Curriculum aims to:
- Introduce faculty, and through their students, to climate change content connected to their discipline of choice
- Upgrade existing classes and enhance course eligibility for interdisciplinary climate change credentials
- Buid a network of educators exploring how their discipline can connect more directly with climate change

The training equipped faculty to incorporate climate content through a wide range of approaches. Examples include climate video game analysis in Ethnic Studies and carbon footprint estimation in Chemistry labs.

“There is No Planet B”
A 2024 CATC participants story
Dance faculty member Grace Gallagher participated in CATC in 2024 and created “There is No Planet B,” a performance that has since become a fully produced public production supported by The Sharon Prize Colorado.

We’ve expanded in 2025 to include K-12 educators and external higher-ed institutions.
