A one-semester fellowship that prepares Master’s students for careers that apply sustainability across fields and organizations.
The program focuses on leadership and communication skills for graduate students pursuing sustainability-focused master’s degrees. It is not designed for students planning to pursue a Ph.D.
About the program
The Diana Wall Sustainability Leadership Fellows program for Master’s students gives graduate students pursuing sustainability-focused master’s degrees the professional leadership and communication skills to excel in a wide range of careers.
Over the course of one semester, fellows take part in interactive workshops to strengthen leadership capacity, build professional communication skills, and translate their sustainability expertise into a future career.
The Master’s pathway focuses on skill development for careers that apply sustainability principles across fields and organizations. By the end of the program, fellows are equipped to drive meaningful change in their respective fields.
Program structure
Science Communication Workshop
An intensive workshop at the start of the program led by the Alda Center, covering effective communication with media and the public.
Training sessions
Trainings with experts on career and leadership topics. Topics can include time management, storytelling, science and policy, online media, interviewing, proposal writing, working with skeptical audiences, data visualization, working on interdisciplinary teams, and running effective meetings.
Who can apply
Master’s students at CSU pursuing a sustainability-focused degree, who plan to enter careers applying sustainability principles in industry, policy, or other applied contexts.
