New program beginning Spring 2026
Diana Wall Sustainability Leadership Fellows program for master’s students (MSLF). This program equips graduate students pursuing sustainability-focused master’s degrees with professional leadership and communication skills that prepare them to excel in diverse career paths.
Over the course of the semester, Fellows will participate in interactive workshops designed to strengthen leadership capacity, enhance professional communication, and build skills to help them translate their sustainability expertise into their future career. The MSLF program emphasizes skill development for careers that apply sustainability principles across diverse fields and organizations,
Fellows will build the skills and confidence to become effective sustainability professionals, equipped to drive meaningful change in their respective fields. This fellowship is not intended for students planning to pursue a Ph.D.
2026 Master's Sustainability Leadership Fellows
Training Program
The Diana Wall Sustainability Leadership Fellow training curriculum is a mix of workshops, trainings, networking, and professional development opportunities. Fellows are invited to participate in a large number of cross-campus public and private events with the School during their Fellowship year in addition to the regularly scheduled trainings.
Core curriculum:
Science Communication Workshop: A intensive workshop at the beginning of the year led by Alda, science communication specialists. The workshop incorporates renowned journalist trainers that educate Fellows on effective science communication to media and the public, and to effectively address global sustainability challenges in a landscape of increasing digitization and information accessibility.
Training sessions: During the year, Fellows attend additional trainings with experts on a variety of career development and leadership topics, curated to be timely and relevant to the cohort, and can include: time management, storytelling, science and policy, online media, interviewing techniques, proposal and grant writing, talking science with skeptical audiences, data visualization, working on interdisciplinary teams, running effective meetings, and more.
