Demystifying Building Energy Conservation: A Panel Discussion with Fort Collins Experts

Did you know that buildings play a huge role in the climate crisis? The Fort Collins climate action plan calls for an 80% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, with 35% of those reductions coming from buildings. This panel discussion seeks to educate members of the CSU community on the role building energy plays in achieving various environmental sustainability goals. Topics will include the importance of building energy, how policy impacts building energy decisions, and what local residents can do to conserve energy in their homes. Panelists will include energy engineers and practitioners from the City of Fort Collins, CSU Facilities Management, and the Institute for the Built Environment.
