The School acts as a conduit for sustainability science and works to communicate and connect that science to diverse audiences.

The School hosts a range of events each year and tailors them to educate the CSU community and public on timely and critical sustainability issues.

Reoccurring SoGES Events

Managing the Planet – Each academic year, the School hosts monthly panels as part of the SoGES Managing the Planet panel series. The panels address diverse topics related to relevant sustainability issues and feature an interdisciplinary panel of Colorado State University experts conducting research related to the topic.

The Sustainability Circuit – A monthly series highlighted by SoGES that taps into existing campus seminars to extend the conversation. Each month, we plan to “plug in” to a campus talk relevant to sustainability, then host a follow-up gathering – part discussion, part happy hour – to reflect, connect, and spark new ideas. These informal sessions are open to students, faculty, staff, and community members interested in building a more sustainable future through shared dialogue and interdisciplinary exchange.
