Research Summary: My research interest grew out of a simple question: How can we build in a way that doesn’t harm the planet we live on? I am interested in studying the environmental impacts of buildings, from the raw materials to the end of their life. My current research interest lies in evaluating mass timber – a renewable alternative to steel and concrete, using life-cycle assessment tools and digital technology to understand its true carbon footprint. In the future, I wish to contribute to the construction industry to make better choices that support a healthy environment.
