Sustainable Futures Community Coffee Hour
We’re hosting School of Sustainable Futures Community Coffee Hours to create space for conversation and networking among members of our SSF community (anyone new or Sustainable Futures-curious is welcome too). We’ll start with a lightly facilitated discussion on a timely sustainability topic to spark discussion, followed by time to socialize, catch up, and meet others. Drop in or out any time during the hour.
For September: Our discussion topic will be inclusive sustainable development in highland regions. We’ll be joined by Fernando Ruis Peyré, Ilina Valentina Stocia, and Gillian Bowser, whose interdisciplinary work brings together social science, geography, ecology, and environmental conservation. Drawing on perspectives from three different countries and cultural contexts, the conversation will explore issues that many Coloradans will recognize, including recreation, tourism, livestock, farming, and other highland livelihoods.
