Research Summary: Ruminant animals, such as beef cattle, help maintain healthy grasslands, healthy soils, and are important to the livelihoods of billions of people across the globe. My research focuses on how the beef industry can produce a high-quality, healthy product, while reducing its impact on the environment and to improve the economic returns of those who raise beef cattle. I also strive to help develop producer tools to improve the sustainability of the beef cattle producers across the state of Colorado.
