Research Summary: My research focuses on how transportation and infrastructure systems are affected by extreme events such as floods, storms, and power outages, and how these impacts can spread across connected systems. I study ways to better understand these cascading failures and improve the resilience of infrastructure that communities rely on every day. By combining engineering analysis with risk and decision-making approaches, my work aims to support more sustainable infrastructure planning that reduces disruptions, improves public safety, and helps communities better prepare for climate-related challenges.
