Research Summary:My research aims to identify the health effects of early life air pollution exposures, with an emphasis on air pollution from vehicles and industrial sources. I and the team I work with are currently working on a new air pollution model for the Denver metropolitan area that will allow us to better characterize a child’s air pollution exposure from before they were born to now. This information will allow us to understand if air pollution is associated with adverse health outcomes, including childhood obesity. Understanding how air pollution is tied to health outcomes is useful for developing better environmental policies.
