Founder and Director, Graduate Chapter of Student Sustainability Center

Jacob VanderRoest graduated from Hope College in the spring of 2021 with a B.S. in chemistry and a geology minor. While at Hope College, Jacob was the Co-President of the Hope Advocates for Sustainability organization: an internship program focused on implementing environmentally-friendly initiatives on campus. Upon enrolling at Colorado State University in the chemistry Ph.D. program, Jacob has sought to continue his sustainability engagement by working with the School of Global and Environmental Sustainability. He spends his free time trail running around Horsetooth Reservoir, rock climbing in the Poudre River Canyon, and salsa dancing in Old Town. Jacob is always happy to talk about sustainability!
