Sustainability is a key area for improvement in the fashion industry. Importantly, the three areas of social (fair labor practices), environmental (waste reduction and environmental impact), and economic (fast fashion business models) have become major talking points. Yet, encouraging consumers to behave more sustainably remains a challenge. This course will highlight the importance of the three areas of sustainability in fashion with an emphasis on environmental impact. Students will learn to create promotions within the digital framework, such as Web 3 and AI, while learning to craft sustainability messaging. This course will prepare them for the professional world by equipping them with messaging skills to communicate with stakeholders in public relations and advertising domains.
