Sustainability Leadership Fellow Cohort: 2025-2026
Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Forest and Rangeland Stewardship
Research Summary: I study how econometric analysis, including carbon markets, can improve sustainability and resilience in natural resources – fisheries, forests, and wildfire management. By analyzing data on recreational fishing, forestland ownership, and fire impacts, I create models to predict economic outcomes and guide policies. For example, I’ve assessed value of recreational fishing in Ohio to support conservation and examined private forest ownership trends to improve land management. My work balances economic needs with environmental protection, ensuring resources are managed effectively. I collaborate with scientists and policymakers to turn research into practical solutions that address environmental challenges and promote sustainable resource use.
