DESCRIPTION:Climate Currents: Teaching Climate Across the Curriculum\nWebinar 1: Real examples of climate integration in Natural Sciences \nWhat does it look like to bring climate into courses beyond the sciences? Join faculty from CSU and partner institutions for Climate Currents\, a webinar series highlighting real examples of how educators are integrating climate into their teaching across disciplines.\n\nThe second session features faculty from the natural sciences sharing approaches\, experiences\, and lessons learned. Come explore what’s possible— and get inspire to bring climate into your own curriculum.\n\nPanelists: \nJessica Duke\, School of Biological Sciences\, University of Northern Colorado\nCorina Brown\, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry\, University of Northern Colorado\nRonnie Banerjee\, Department of Chemistry\, Colorado State University\nModerated by:\nCindy Shellito\, University of Northern Colorado\nPaúl Cisneros\, Colorado State University\n\nAbout Climate Across the Curriculum\n\nFor the past two years the School of Sustainable Future’s Climate Across the Curriculum program has supported faculty in exploring ways to incorporate climate-related topics\, perspectives\, and experiences into their courses and across disciplines. SUMMARY:Managing the Planet | SHARING THE WILD: Can people and carnivores coexist?
DESCRIPTION:SHARING THE WILD: Can people and carnivores coexist? \nWolves\, bears\, and other large carnivores are increasingly part of conversations about how we share Colorado’s landscapes. As communities grow\, land use changes\, and climate change reshapes wildlife habitat\, encounters between people and carnivores raise challenges about conservation\, public safety\, and the future of coexistence in ranching and rural communities. \nJoin us for a discussion about what coexistence looks like in practice. From protecting livestock and reducing conflicts to understanding public attitudes and balancing competing priorities. Our panelists will explore why these conflicts happen\, what solutions are available\, and how communities can navigate the challenges of living alongside wildlife. \nPanelists: \nKevin Crooks\, Professor\, Department of Fish\, Wildlife\, and Conservation Biology\nJon Salerno\, Associate Professor\, Department of Human Dimensions of Natural Resources\nVeronica Yovovich\, Assistant Professor\, Department of Fish\, Wildlife\, and Conservation Biology \nModerator: Gene Kelly\, Sustainable Futures Faculty Research Liaison\, Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station
