This Collaboratory aims to establish a cross-campus community of practice (CoP) at CSU to enhance awareness of mass timber. The Collaboratory conversations will cover various aspects of mass timber, including its impact on forest health, design and construction, manufacturing, project delivery considerations, and the experiences of building occupants. This CoP will offer an opportunity for CSU to explore a leadership role in climate-smart infrastructure innovation. Our group intends to identify research, education, and engagement strategies that position CSU as a key academic partner in advancing mass timber work. We will focus on a life cycle approach and carbon reduction goals throughout the state.
