Dining with Sustainability
Join us for a monthly dinner series that convenes researchers and managers in northern Colorado working on areas related to environmental sustainability*. Participants come from a variety of organizations, including Colorado State University, federal, state, and local agencies and others. This dinner series is hosted by CSU’s School of Global Environmental Sustainability with the goal of establishing not only interdisciplinary, but inter-organizational collaborations and networks related to conservation and sustainability.
Dinners aim to:
- Establish and strengthen networks of researchers and managers
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and information-sharing
- Improve your access to people, organizations, and new perspectives
- Promote new and innovative approaches to your work
- Inspire research, collaboration, enterprise, and collegiality
Come to many dinners, or just a few. We will be holding dinners monthly through 2015 and accepting 20-25 participants for each dinner. We will select a diverse group of participants for each dinner should there be more people interested than room.
* SoGES defines environmental sustainability broadly as humans coexisting with the natural world on a planet with finite resources.
Dinner is on us! Our goal is to provide the space and time to meet; we hope you will enjoy yourself during the evening and walk away with renewed inspiration, ideas, and contacts. Above all, this is an opportunity for some great feedback and networking on current sustainability work for all attendees. Anyone is welcome and we encourage your recommendation for colleagues that would make a valuable contribution to this series.
We will send some 'food for thought' in advance of each dinner. Participants are encouraged to discuss projects that are new or early in design, would benefit from interdisciplinary feedback or new collaborations, would benefit from new perspectives, and/or you are particularly excited about. Ample opportunity will be dedicated to open discussion and networking.
Sign up here to be included in the series, and we will add you to the list of participants. We will send an RSVP link to the full participant list prior to each dinner and cap it at 20-25 people for each event.
